WISEdash Local: Making Informed Decisions Through Collaborative Infrastructure

In this session, we showcase the WISEdash Local Data Warehouse Consortium as well as the infrastructure upon which it is built. We review case studies that highlight how the WISEdash Local is helping Wisconsin educators use data to inform key decisions. This presentation is jointly hosted by WISEdash Local and Versifit Technologies.

Data Inquiry Journal in WISEdash for Districts

WISEdash provides for multiple data sources with robust drill-down capability. The data graphics are powerful and are terrific aids in data analysis and interpretation. To make the most effective use of WISEdash, it is recommended that collaborative teams follow an intentional focused process of inquiry: 1) pose an important question, 2) investigate data to answer the question, 3) clarify findings and 4) form hypotheses of practice and possible next step actions. These important steps in the inquiry process lead to and provide the foundations for the school improvement plan. In this session, learn about the data inquiry process and how utilizing the Data Inquiry Journal tool will aid in efficient and effective inquiry.
